Charles “Bill” passed away on Monday, October 3rd at Alexandria Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1934 and was a native Virginia resident. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. Bill worked for the U.S. Geological Survey (Department of the Interior) as a negative engraver for 38 years. He met his wife Marilyn while working at the Geological Survey. This past May they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Bill always took an active and supportive role in the lives of his two children, Monica and Scott. Upon retirement, he enjoyed working part-time and assisting customers in a local hardware store. Bill is preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles William Lloyd Miller, Sr. and Dorothy Virginia Miller. His younger brother Robert is currently residing in Florida. Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn, his daughter Monica and his son Scott. He has three grandchildren, Tyler Quackenbush, Tanner Quackenbush and Paige Miller. Anyone who knew Bill was captivated by his kindness, warmth, sincerity and sense of humor. He was deeply rooted in his faith and his presence in our lives will truly be missed!
