

Of McLean, VA passed away on February 21, 2015 at the age of 93 at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA. “Connie” will be greatly missed by her brother Thomas Walsh of West Bloomfield, MI, sister Carol (Thomas) Sheahen of Kildeer, IL, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and her many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Emily (Christian) Walsh and her brother Edward Walsh.
Connie was born and raised in Chicago, IL and earned a B.A. in Education from Chicago Teacher’s College. She had a varied career, first at Easter Seals, then American Airlines. She moved to Washington DC and served 27 years in intelligence at the CIA. Connie was very active in retirement. She loved travel and had been all over the world. Many great times were spent swimming, walking the sandy shores and the boardwalk near her cottage in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was an ardent supporter of the arts, especially the opera, ballet, and symphony. Connie will be fondly remembered as outgoing, charming, witty, intelligent, and compassionate. She loved spending time with her extended family and large circle of friends.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W Broad St, Falls Church, VA.
