Dave was born to Ed and June Boswell in Arlington, Virginia. An athlete, he played baseball and football for McLean High. He was also an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, and tournament dart player. Dave enjoyed being outdoors for work and play. He loved music and had an extensive knowledge of many popular and obscure bands and a particular life-long passion for the Beatles.
He met Teri, the love of his life, at a dart tournament in Chicago only to discover later that they lived only a mile apart in Northern Virginia. Within the week, he informed her that she would be his wife and proceeded to capture her heart by always giving her stout competition, never letting her win. Traveling the world the past 24 years, Dave and Teri enjoyed visiting China, England, France, New Zealand, and Australia. They also explored some of the greatest U.S. National Parks in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Utah, Arizona, and Florida and drove along the east and west coasts. Dave and Teri also loved spending time with their close circle of friends, many of whom he knew since childhood.
Dave is survived by his wife Teri and their integrated family of brother Gary Boswell (Sally); sister Paula Rhodes (Mac); sister-in-law Carol Boswell; mother-in-law Tai-Li Hoffman; brother-in-law Carl Hoffman (Tony); nieces Jamie Wright (Jason), Kelly Drescher (Tim), Kristy Boswell; nephew John Boswell; and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Alan Boswell, and father-in-law William Hoffman.
A celebration of his life will be held privately on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22nd. In lieu of flowers, a gift to the charity of your choice in his memory is appreciated.
Dave had many friends and met them on equal terms, always with a kind and endearing heart. Always with the blessing that each day brings. He will be sadly missed.
