David Alex Brown

David Alex Brown, 81 of Annandale VA passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Mary (Reevy) Brown of Revloc, PA, his brother, J. Robert Brown of McLean, VA and his great nephew Connor Robert White of Reston, VA. He is survived by sister in law, Suzanne Reilly Brown of McLean, VA; his nieces, Jennifer Brown Muse of Bolivia NC and Elizabeth Alison White (Henry) of Reston, VA and three great nephews who he enjoyed spending time with; Hayden, Noah and Kellan White. Dave served our country in the Navy with the patrol squadron 24 division from 1962-1966. He then went to the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1971. After college he moved to the DC area where he worked for the Department of Transportation as a trade route examiner, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed playing golf throughout his life and traveled to several states to play with friends. Dave had fun socializing with friends and members of the Knights of Columbus, in Arlington, VA. A visitation for David will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Homes, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
