David M. Helm, son of June H. Rosenbaum of Reston, Va., and the late Darrell J. Helm, died in Houston, Texas, on May 25.
Mr. Helm, 59, worked for forging companies as a foreman and skilled worker in Cleveland, Ohio; Houston; Owensboro, Ky., and Manistee, Mich. He later worked as a security guard and as a manager at a nonprofit organization in Houston.
Mr. Helm was born in East Chicago, Ind., on Feb. 21, 1952. He was a 1970 graduate of Daviess County High School in Owensboro, Ky., and attended the University of Kentucky.
His interests included model cars as a youth and Corvettes as an adult.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Helm leaves a brother, Steven, of Houston; and a sister, Cathy Helm, brother-in-law Timothy McQuay and nephew Mark McQuay, all of Falls Church, Va.
Mr. Helm will be buried on June 10 at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
