Cary was  family man who LOVED his two children immensely.  The flower of his eye was Annabelle.  He would come to Anna's shop and have warm conversations with the clients.  Isabelle held her daddy tight as Anna conducted the business with focus and dedication.  I always enjoyed talking with Cary when I was at the shop and he was visiting.  Annabelle was always in his arms as he stood tall and proud to be the head of his family.

Cary was my treasured, lifelong friend.  Growing up, we had so many wonderful conversations and fun just spending time together.  There are very few people that you meet in life that have so much goodness in them, but Cary was that rare exception.  I hadn’t seen him for years, but we kept in contact through Facebook.  You could tell how much he cherished his daughter, Annabell.  When I see her picture, it’s plain to see so much of Cary in her.  I want Anna, Annabell, his parents, siblings and entire family to know what a gift he was to everyone he met and how much I adored him.  It’s heartbreaking thinking about losing him from this world.  I will miss his spirit.  I pray for all of you during this impossibly difficult time and hope that you find peace in knowing that one day you will all be reunited.

My dear beloved son, I shall miss your smile and sense of humor. I will miss our doing FaceTime two or three times daily. How his faith grew so strong was inspirational while dealing with cancer. The love of his life was Annabell and my heart breaks for her. His father and I have always been so proud of him and cannot believe he is gone. We love you!

Cary was a wonderful husband and superb father.  He has gone home and is with his Heavenly Father.  I pray that all Cary’s  loved ones feel God’s presence daily.  My heart is with you  Anna, Andrew and Annabelle.  I love you. 

I was saddened to hear that my former DFAS  pal is no longer with us, but I am glad to have fond memories of our love of "stupid" movies. One of our favorites was "Pootie Tang;" Cary would reference some of the phrases every time we texted to wish each other a happy birthday or catch me up on his health. I will sorely miss you, my friend. Stay up, Playah!!
