Deborah Anne Goodman

Ms. Goodman is survived by her partner Bob Christiansen, sister Susan Frye and brother Butch Frye, two daughters Anna Goodman and Shelly Koerner, and son Joshua Goodman. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Ms. Goodman was born in Winchester VA and attended school in Fairfax County. She worked at the Roy Rogers restaurant in Sterling, VA when she worked her way up to management. She finished her career with Fairfax County Public Schools in Mclean. She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the kindest, sweetest, loving, caring person you’d ever come across. She was the true definition of selfless, she always put others first before herself.

She was the strongest person you’d ever meet. She loved so fiercely and supported all her loved ones. She was the strongest person you could ever know. She fought many battles, but always came out fighting at the end. She loved all and all loved her. There wasn’t a soul who didn’t love her. She touched so many people weather it be the food that she had cooked or just sitting at the table laughing and talking. Her laugh was contagious, and it could be heard miles away. Her smile lit up the room and made it so much brighter. She will be greatly missed by all her friends, family, and loved ones, but her soul, energy, and love will continue to be carried on through her loved ones.

A visitation for Deborah will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Homes, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. A reception will occur Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery, 20421 Airmont Rd, Bluemont, VA 20135.
