When I was growing up I always looked forward to our family going out to dinner where "Uncle Dewey" would always brighten the mood with some fascinating stories and a stream of witty jokes. Since I never met either of my grandfathers I always felt a bit like Dewey filled that role for me, and I will always be grateful for how kind and generous he was. Now that I think about him, I realize how just much he influenced me as I grew up. he will be dearly missed, but I do remember that he told me once that he felt he had "lived a good life" with no regrets. I hope that inner peace carried him through to the other side.

With loving memories of my brother, Dewey ("Dew-Bob"). It took decades for us to find each other again, but -- thanks to you -- we did. You were a loving (and fun-loving) uncle to my children, and they will never forget you. And I will always cherish the time we had together. Being robbed of so much made it all the sweeter. My only regret is that I was never able to move back to Arlington like you kept nagging me to do.
Rest in Peace, Dear Brother.

"I once was lost, but now I'm found. Was blind but now I see."
Love,
Carolyn
