
Donald Laird Felker, 84, of Falls Church, VA passed away on September 21, 2016. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 31, 1932. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from George Washington University. He married Ann Habley on December 21, 1957.
He proudly served as an officer in the Air Force and the Navy, retiring after a successful career as a Captain in the Naval Reserves. He also had a lengthy, successful career with the Bell Atlantic Telephone Companies.
He was a man of many passions. Foremost was his passion for his family to include his wife, children and grandchildren. He also had a great passion for classical music and served as a Church organist during his high school and college years. Finally, he had a passion for collecting and restoring antiques. Throughout his life, all enjoyed his sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving family of his wife, Ann; his children, Bradford, Douglas and Susan; and his grandchildren, Lara, Beth, Clara, Stephanie, Michael, Kurt, Eric and Brian.
A private service for the family will be held on Monday, September 26. Per his and his wife’s wishes, his final resting place will be in Mendon, Michigan with services at a later date.
