Jay: I cried last night in bed when I heard. You are such a wonderful person. We had so many superb times together; so many times with you and Ellen and the boys in Virginia at your home. I remember our times at the Smithsonian – so many years.  I remember our trips to South America in the 1990s. I remember our Manhan days in the 1980s. I pray that more people in this world are like you.  You and your family will always be in my prayers. Javier

Jay, you were a tremendous friend and a truly decent and generous human being. In all the years and places we spent time in, this held true. The world is poorer for your absence. I shall miss you, and the pleasure of your company, wherever and whenever.

It has been a priveledge to get to know you and your family these past few years through the Marvelwood School. You are truly one of the good souls, and you will be dearly missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace.
