Arlington,Va. Donnie Rosemond was born in Prentiss Mississippi, son of the late Samuel L. Rosemond Sr. and the late Bonnie(Robertson) Barnett. He was raised and educated in Temple Hills, Maryland. He was a graduate of Potomac H.S. in Temple Hills. Donnie began working at the Officer's Club on Andrews AFB in Allentown Maryland.
In 1999 Donnie began his career at the Veteran's Hospital in Washington,D.C. in the food service department.In 2002, due to an illness he was forced to retire from work, and began residing at The Potomac Center in Arlington,Va., where he has had his home since.
He is survived by his three brothers Larry and wife Ruby; Ronnie ; and Wendell and his wife Marylen. He is also survived by nephew and nieces Leah, and Isaiah, and Andre; also one grand niece Lailah.Donnie was also predeceased by his brother Samuel L. Rosemond Jr. in 1999.
