

Doris Chin (née Tsang), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 3, 1948, in Hong Kong, Doris immigrated to the United States in 1967 to pursue a brighter future. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in pharmacy and dedicated over 30 years of service as a pharmacist at Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she was known for her kindness, expertise, and unwavering commitment to patient care. She was a mentor to many of her colleagues.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lay Ying Wong and Shui Tsang. She is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen Chin; her children, Ken Chin (Wincy Law) and Katherine Chin (Dave Rice); and her grandson, Will. She also leaves behind her brother, Ben Tsang (Theresa Ning), as well as extended family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, in retirement, Doris found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who loved flowers, indulging in ice cream, and spending time at Tyson's Corner. Doris embraced the peaceful rhythm of her daily walks. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at National Funeral Home in Falls Church on March 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by burial from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
