

Duong Thi Hue, 80, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Virginia, US, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1945, in Travinh, Vietnam, and spent 31+ years in Falls Church, Virginia, surrounded by caring husband, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends who cherished her kindness, gentle, and strength.
Hue is survived by her husband, Nguyen Dinh Hai; her brother, Duong Van Be; her sister, Duong Thi Thu Em; her 4 children, Nguyen Duong Lan Phuong, Nguyen Dinh Phi, Nguyen Bich Loan, and Nguyen Bich Ngoc; her grandchildren, Paul Luong, Peter Luong, Minh Nguyen, Trinh Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Elaine Ly, Emmy Ly, and Catherine Hoang; her great-grandchildren, Annie, Willou, Ian, and Ayleen.
Hue dedicated her life to caring for others, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a caring grandmother/great-grandmother. She found joy in going to temples, doing charity work, cooking and praying for others.
Hue is creative and talented, she poured love into everything she made from cooking to artwork such as beautiful cross-stitched pieces and home-made clothes. She always inspired us to be good people.
Hue will be remembered for her selflessness and generosity. She was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her.
Hue’s last wish is good health to everyone on her network. She doesn’t wish to accept any flowers nor donations.
May her follow the Amita Buddha’s light to his Pure Land to continue her Dharma practice until she becomes an enlightened one.
A funeral service will be held at the National Funeral Home, located at 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, 22042, on November 24, 2025, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a viewing time from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.
