Edgar P. Zambrana, age 69 passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Edgar Prudencio Zambrana Inturias, de 69 años, de Falls Church, Virginia, falleció el 7 de julio de 2024 en Fairfax, Virginia. Edgar nació el 28 de abril de 1955 en Cochabamba, Bolivia, hijo de Gumercindo Zambrana Wigme y Maura Inturias Siles. Asistió a la escuela de Isaac Maldonado en Sacaba, Bolivia. El 23 de mayo de 1977, Edgar se casó con María Mercedes Orellana Solís de Zambrana en Sacaba, Bolivia. Trabajó toda su carrera profesional como camionero, en Bolivia para el Servicio de Caminos y en el área de Washington, DC, donde era propietario y operaba la empresa de transporte de su familia. Era un devoto católico romano y jugaba fútbol en Chicos Malos. Era un padre, abuelo, tío y figura paterna orgulloso para muchos familiares y amigos cercanos, y apreciaba cada momento que pasaba con ellos. A Edgar le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Gumercindo Zambrana Wigme, su madre, Maura Inturias Siles, y su hermana, Gladys Zambrana Guzmán. A Edgar le sobreviven su esposa, María Mercedes; sus hijos, Erick, Gisela, Galdia, Edgar Jacob, María Eugenia y Jairo; sus hermanos, Nancy, Renel, Esther, Jaime y Rubén; sus nietos, Mauricio, Abigail, Allison, Adrian, Angela, Evangelina, Elise, Isabella, Olivia, Adriana, Chloe y Hope; su yerno, Carlos, sus nueras, Jacqueline, Vanessa y Jessica; y sobrinos que residen en Virginia, Gina, Junior, Jimmy, Pricilla, Sergio, Ariel y Mateo. La familia desea expresar nuestro más sincero reconocimiento y gratitud a los médicos, enfermeras, capellán y personal del Hospital Inova Fairfax que brindaron atención a Edgar. Las visitas serána las 3 pm el viernes 12 de julio de 2024, con un servicio católico brindado por el Padre Roberto Orihuela a las 5 pm y una recepción a las 6 pm en National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22024. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Edgar Prudencio Zambrana Inturias, 69 years old, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on July 07, 2024, in Fairfax, Virginia. Edgar was born on April 28, 1955, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, to Gumercindo Zambrana Wigme and Maura Inturias Siles. He attended school at Isaac Maldonado in Sacaba, Bolivia. On May 23, 1977, Edgar married Maria Mercedes Orellana Solis de Zambrana in Sacaba, Bolivia. He worked his entire professional career as a truck driver—in Bolivia for Servicio de Caminos and in the Washington, D.C. area, where he owned and operated his family’s trucking company. He was a devout Roman Catholic and played soccer for Chicos Malos. He was a proud father, grandpa, uncle, and father figure to many extended family and close friends, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Edgar is preceded in death by his father, Gumercindo Zambrana Wigme, his mother, Maura Inturias Siles, and his sister, Gladys Zambrana Guzman. Edgar is survived by his wife, Maria Mercedes; his children, Erick, Gisela, Galdia, Edgar Jacob, Maria Eugenia, and Jairo; his siblings, Nancy, Renel, Esther, Jaime and Ruben; his grandchildren, Mauricio, Abigail, Allison, Adrian, Angela, Evangelina, Elise, Isabella, Olivia, Adriana, Chloe and Hope; his son-in-law, Carlos, daughters-in-law, Jacqueline, Vanessa and Jessica; and nephews and nieces residing in Virginia, Gina, Junior, Jimmy, Pricilla, Sergio, Ariel and Mateo. The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, nurses, chaplain, and staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital who provided care to Edgar. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, with a Catholic service given by Padre Roberto Orihuela at 5 p.m. and a reception following at 6 p.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22024.
