Edita Capistrano Sunga, 88, of McLean, VA, passed away on Monday, January 6th. She was born on January 12, 1937, in Manila, Philippines. She graduated from the School of Nursing at the University of the Philippines in 1959. On May 29, 1963, she married the late Dr. Roberto N. Sunga.
Edita worked as a clinical nurse in various hospitals and medical establishments both in the Philippines and the USA. She had a passion for cooking, ballroom dancing, and cruising.
As a devoted wife and loyal friend, she will be greatly missed.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church at 11:00 o'clock. She will be laid to rest in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA at a later date.
