Born April 28, 1932 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Irving Edward Catterton and Dorothy Grayson Catterton.
Ed attended Fellowship Bible Church, where he was the organist. Baptized in the Church of the Brethren, Ed was a church organist since the age of thirteen.
A registered pharmacist, he was a retired executive with Drug Fair with 27 years of service. He was an avid golfer and artist and loved model trains. He was a devout Christian and had been treasurer of his local Gideon camp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley, at home; one daughter, Deirdre Catterton of Charles Town, WV; two sons, Edward Grayson Catterton of Charles Town; and Stewart L. Catterton and wife Carol of Waterford, VA; one sister, Louise C. Herring and husband, Lynn of Fairfax, VA; eight grandchildren, Matthew Grayson Catterton, Abigail Elise Capra, Skyler Jean Catterton, Caroline Grace Catterton, Charlotte Lee Catterton, Ian Edward Catterton, Joshua Blake Catterton, and Caleb Michael Catterton.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442 with Pastor Van Marsceau officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
