Edward Charles Mahen Jr.

Ed was born in Maryland Heights, MO to Edward Mahen, Sr., and Mary Mahen on December 25, 1947. He married Magdalena Stoecker on December 19, 1970 in Valley Park, MO. He graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia.

He honorably served for 27 years as Active Duty Air Force, including as a veteran of the Vietnam War. Since 1997, Ed worked as an engineer for the Federal Government.

Ed was extremely dedicated to serving the United States. When not working or being with family, he enjoyed participating in the church choir, building and maintaining computers, gardening, and cooking,

Ed is preceded in death by both his mother and father as well as his brother, Danny.

Ed is survived by his wife Maggie, his daughter Nina, his son David, and his brother Mike.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Ed’s name.

His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the medical staff at Virginia Hospital Center, staff at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, co-workers, and friends.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, starting at noon. Dr. Michael Hayes will be officiating. Burial will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
