

Ed was born February 22, 1944 in Alexandria, Va. He grew up mostly in Northern Virginia, moving to Falls Church after marriage and then retiring to the Northern Neck. Ed worked for Coca Cola of Alexandria for over 35 years and had his own landscaping business for 25 years, being affectionately known as “The Plant Man”. Ed was an avid hunter and gun collector, enjoying the local turkey shoots for many years. He was Procurement Officer for the American Legion Post 85, and was instrumental in collecting toiletries and candy for our wounded warriors.
Ed is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Ellen Jane Muddiman; a son, Edward Daniel Muddiman, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandsons, Jason, Kyle and Lance Muddiman of Orlando, Florida; two granddaughters, Jamie Muddiman of Randrum, Idaho and Lindsey Muddiman of Virginia Beach, Va. and one great granddaughter, Hailey Muddiman of Randrum, Idaho. He is also survived by a sister, Bobby Garcia of Woodbridge, Va., and a brother, Donald Muddiman of Richmond, Va. and many beloved nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lynne Muddiman; his parents, Elmer and Elsie Muddiman and a brother, Jason (Buddy) Muddiman.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p. m. Sunday, February 9 at Currie Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. There will also be a service 10:45 a. m. Monday, February 10 at National Memorial Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Va. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park Cemetery, Falls Church, Va.
