Eileen was the office manager at Dunnells, Duvall, Bennett & Porter when she hired me as Dick Dunnells' and Susan Baron's secretary in July 1980. I had just moved from Nebraska to DC, was a bit in awe of the bright lights and big city, and Eileen sweetly encouraged me as I learned the ways of the law firm and the city. I last saw her at Dick Dunnells' funeral in March 2019, and she shared some great memories of those early '80s days at the law firm. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to Jim and the Robinson and Ferrera families.

Such a very sad, sudden loss. Eileen was my secretary at Dunnells, Duvall and Porter when I started at the firm in 1977. She of course quickly moved on to much larger and important real estate roles at the firm and at Arnold & Porter. She was ever and always the total professional, so capable, hardworking, committed and generous with her smile and friendship. Every time I saw her, the first thing she did was to ask about my wife and three daughters. She will be so sorely missed. Sarah and I send Jim and all of Eileen and Jim's family our heartfelt sympathies and condolences. As we say in my Jewish tradition after such a deep loss, "may her memory be a blessing".

I will always remember Eileen's fearless spirit and quick wit. We shared so many laughs and talks together (about anything really). She was like a big sister that kept things in order. One of my fondest memories will always be about politics. We both enjoyed talking politics whether it was on the local or national level. Eileen would call me in the evening, especially during an election cycle, to say "are you watching Rachel on MSNBC - did you hear that?" and then we would talk about whatever was happening. On occasion, I would go to her office to discuss one thing and end up spending time on the latest news of the day! We really enjoyed each other's company! Eileen, thank you for taking me under your wing so early on and never letting go. Your friendship will be cherished for a lifetime. You dubbed us "Team Moneil" at work. The "Mon" for the beginning of my name and "Eil" for yours. I will never forget your kindness and wonderful spirit!

Rest now my friend,
Monique

Eileen & I met in 9th grade during the orientation assembly. We became fast friends despite her love of the Dallas Cowboys back in the day.
She was introduced to the love of her life, Jim by Larry & me - our GWU friend.
I'll always remember our bridge games in her basement during & after college & l whenever I see nonpareil candy I smile & think of Rose & Les her parents.

Rest in peace.....you'll be missed

I was so sorry to hear of Eileen’s death. I worked with her at Arnold & Porter from the time she joined the firm until my retirement in 2019. She was the ultimate professional. Hardworking, smart, and dedicated to doing excellent work. I extend my sincere condolences to her family and friends. I know she will be missed.
