I always called her Aunt Laine, even though she was technically my cousin. As a child, I found her to be fascinating. In my 5-year-old head I thought of her as “Elaine-golf-date” and remember seeing her off on a cruise she took to Bermuda. I remember when she brought Jack into our family, and how much I adored him too. I remember their wedding. And then they gave our family Johnny and Katie. I learned a lot about the history of McLean and our family from Elaine. She was always interesting to talk to, and always gave her full attention. I loved her very much. I will miss her presence here, but I know there was a joyful crowd waiting for her when she arrived in heaven. 

I grew up with Elaine on Kirby Rd, Margie and I we neighbors of the Strawsers.
