Elaine was best known for her green thumb and her participation in various community service endeavors to include volunteering at Fairfax Hospital, local schools, and her children's various sporting events. She also was an avid book reader and enjoyed reading historical novels as well as watching historical programs on tv. If she was not reading a current best seller, she was caught reading the Washington Post and if you didn't read it, no worries she would call and give you the cliffs notes. But don't ever try to take her paper because she had to have her crossword everyday!
