

Ella Mae Santino, 93, of Falls Church died September 15, 2015. She was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the daughter of Lester and Cora Aycock. In 1942 she was married to Vincent J. Santino in Atlanta Georgia.
Mrs. Santino was an active member of Graham Road United Methodist Church, were she served as treasurer for 35 years. Ella Mae was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels in the Fairfax area, participating for 40 years.
She leaves her daughters Elizabeth Stitt of McLean and Adele Merrix of Roanoke; grandson Edward Ankers- Falls Church, grandson, Matthew Ankers- Roanoke, grandson Joseph Ankers- Warrenton, Granddaughter Rachel Botkin-Santino- San Francisco, CA, and grandson Samuel Stitt- Arlington. She also leaves five great grandchildren- Austin Ankers- Hamilton, Carissa Rutledge- Front Royal, Shea Ankers and Justin Ankers- Warrenton, and granddaughter Skyler Harris of Harrisonburg. Also a brother Alec and his wife Joanne , a sister Jack, a sister Carol and her husband Harold, a brother Peter and his wife Judith, all from Pikeville, NC. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Vincent J. Santino and brother Bud Aycock.
Viewing services will be held Friday, September 18 5pm-9pm at The National Funeral Home in Falls Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 19 1pm at the Graham Road United Methodist Church. She will be interred in a family plot at the National Memorial Park King David Memorial Gardens.
