I met Ellen when she worked with my late husband about 17 years ago. We stayed in touch through the years meeting for dinners and lunches. Ellen was the nicest person ,a positive people person and caring. She loved her sports teams the Capitals, Redskins and Nationals. We stayed in touch even after my husband Luther passed away. I will always treasure and remember our last outing to a Tim McGraw & Faith Hill concert . We had a great time together. I visited her two weeks before her death, even in the terrible pain she was having ,she still remained in good spirits and talking to her friends. I know Ellen and Luther are laughing and teasing each other in heaven. I will miss you dear friend, till we meet again. Dale,Rachel , Andrew and family,I am so sorry for your loss,Ellen will be missed by many, but she will always live in our hearts and memories.💜💜💜

Ellen was a very genuine and compassionate person. I truly enjoyed talking to her over the years about our respective families. Her charitable work speaks to what kind of person she was. We will all miss her here at CSRA.

I met Ellen when our kids were small. Andrew was still a toddler. We quickly became great friends & shared many wonderful memories together. In the past several years, as our children grew, and we became empty, or close to, “empty nesters”; we began regular walks, then longer walks, and the past few years, regular 5 and 10K’s. Last year, Ellen, along with myself, and two other friends, joined the 1000 mile challenge. Of course, with Ellen as our fearless, and tireless, team captain, we walked/ran our 1000 miles for the team, and for our individual challenge, well before our year deadline. I will cherish the simple days, hanging out at the pool, sitting and talking forever on either of our back decks, eating lunch at Panera, where broccoli cheese soup was nearly always Ellen’s choice. I will forever remember our years together and smile. I will miss you more than words could ever describe. I love her, always.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Ellen's passing last week. I'd kept her in daily prayers and wished for her to regain her good health, as I know she did too. I am another CSC/CSRA colleague and have had interaction with her off and on for 12 years. Sending warm thoughts to Ellen's family and friends. I hope you find comfort in many fond memories.

Ellen was a childhood friend. Our backyards connected at our houses in Pimmit Hills. I'll never forget when she moved in, she stood on her deck and called out that she was new and could she play with us. I think we were maybe 10. That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. We shared many days with the neighborhood kids playing hide & seek, kick the can, sled riding down Fisher Drive and just hanging out. I'll miss you dear friend. I know that you will keep a watchful eye over your most precious people - your family. Godspeed to you.

Ellen is my niece and I have many great memories- too many to share. She was an awesome mother who raised two wonderful kids. She made the world a better place by being in it and everyone who knew her is better for it.

I love her dearly and I will always miss her.
