Ernest William “Bill” Fry, died peacefully at his home in Falls Church, Virginia on Aug 25, 2026. Born on Dec 22, 1926, in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of Virginia Davis Fry and Dr. Wesley Fry. Bill was preceded in death by his dear wife Ann Ware Fry, and his firstborn son, William Wesley Fry. He is survived by two sons, Macon, Thomas and his Wife Michelle Strite Fry; two grandchildren, Trisha and Annie, his daughter in-law Vichika and two great Grandchildren Saylor and Stella.
A memorial service with short reception following will be held on September 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the old sanctuary at Columbia Baptist Church. The family will host a private gathering following the church activities.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to contribute to Bill’s most beloved institution may make donations in his name to Columbia Baptist Church.
