Ester Robrigado Ramos

Ester Ramos, 87, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2012, surrounded by her loved ones during her last days. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at National Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA.

She was a woman full of passion...for life, love, and her family. Even in her elder years, she could be seen walking up and down Columbia Pike with her shopping cart. She became "Granny" to everyone that met her. Her interests included family, dressmaking, and singing.

She devoted her life to taking care of her family. In the 1970s, she courageously moved from Philippines to the United States, in hopes of moving to the land of opportunity. Soon, her daughter, Esterlita, and her children, April, May, and Mark moved to the United States. Ester worked diligently to ensure that her family was given opportunities that she did not have and instilled in all of us the importance of family.

She is survived by daughters Esterlita Bonus married to Pete Catubig Jr. and Editha Bonus Olano married to Eduardo Olano, son Rodolfo Bonus, Jr. (Jun-Jun), grandchildren April Bolling married to Todd Bolling, May Smith married to Jacob Smith, and Mark Catubig and Shineca Solomon, Edgar Olano, and Edward (Butsoy) Olano, great-grandchildren Kytel Christian Catubig, Kayla Nicole Banks, Cydni Simone Bolling, Bria Michelle Catubig, Kat-Kat Olano, and Leyton Olano.
