Esther Malca Harding

Esther was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to Emmanuel M and Lena Glatt on May 19th, 1938.

She worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 35 years after an extensive acting career.

Esther’s energy, contributions and love for life in the world of theater, behavioral health and family are immeasurable. She lived everyday to the fullest and loved fiercely.

Esther M. Harding is preceded in death by her parents Emanuel M and Lena Glatt and her brother, Harvey Glatt.

Esther is survived by her daughter Leanna, (Sean Mansfield); her grandsons Ethan, and Jeremy Mansfield and her grand pup, Bella Lani; Nieces Margot Glatt (Aidan Mason), Adrian and Morgan, Nancy Miesner, and her nephew, Richard Glatt (Cheryl), Jenna and Katie; Sister-in-Law, Dr. Eastlyn Harding-Marin, Michelle Lewis-Parker (Dennis), Brandon, Kevin Marin, Benjamin and Joshua.

The family of Esther wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Laurie Markin, Nicole, Darek, and Lisa of Rocky Run Family Medicine, Dr. Raza Yunus and Suh Yang with UVA Health Cardiology Manassas, Dr. Robert Marsh of Virginia Cancer Specialists, LeAnn, Judy, Renee, Joyce, Pallavi, Madel, Jasmine, and Ernie, and former staff Sallie, Chrissy, Travis and Donna at UVA Health Cardiac Rehab, Capital Caring Health Hospice and countless other people and organizations that helped Esther along the way.

A private committal ceremony will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, in Falls Church, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
