Would have been your birthday today. 8 years (almost 9) since you left us. I miss you, glad we were good before you were gone.

My thank you to Beth for paying tribute to Evelyn here and for your good wishes to my son. Evelyn deserves pages of tributes and should not be forgotten. Saltiest dog, in her way, I ever knew. I miss her. She was so quick...and complicated.

Evelyn was a dear friend, a good nurse and a compassionate person.  I knew her for 11 of the years that she was at Dominion and she brought joy to many.  The world is a different place without her.  My condolences to Jeff and Daniel.

Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. Through tumult and calm seas our spirits always found mutual recognition, our hearts held no secrets from each other. Goodbye, my dearest friend and devoted mother to our son. You left us too soon. My past without your presence in it is impossible to imagine. You made me real, like our beloved Velveteen Rabbit. The future without you is numbing pain. Through heartache and triumph we never stopped loving each other in a special way, known mostly only to us and beyond account or explanation. Bright light of my reckless youth, glowing heart of my maturity, a true friend, you were the most important person in my life. Ambivalence and certainty at times and, in the end, only certainty and warm regard. I will miss you so much. I love you, always. Donald
