Frank Joseph Hudner, Former Navy Commander (aviator) and Special Agent with the IRS, died February 7th. Commanded a US Navy airship (blimp) during anti-submarine patrols over the East Coast of the United States and the Mediterranean during WWII. Devoted husband of over 69 years to wife Betty; father of son Dennis (Janne) and grandfather to Phillip Knicely (Katie), Brett Hudner, Mary Hudner, and Alexandra Payne (J.C.) and several great grand children. Was pre-deceased by daughter Nancy Ann Knicely (Mike). Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, February 16 from 6-8pm at Murphy Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on February 17 at St. Thomas a Becket Catholic Church, Reston, VA. The family requests that donations be made to Feeding America in lieu of flowers.
