Capt. Frederic A. Heim, Jr., USAF Veteran, 91 of Joliet, IL passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lillian & Frederic A. Heim, Sr.; siblings Marjory & Robert; first wife, Celia, and son, Thomas Heim. Frederic was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of the Methodist Church. He led a full life filled with adventure, family, and travel. In 2016, he finally got to see his beloved Chicago Cubs win the world series. He was a proud member of his local American Legion and a proud Mason. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janet; his three children Jim (Maggie), Tammy & Kristen, five grandchildren, two great granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at 11 AM Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023 at National Funeral Home & Memorial Park 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA 22042, with burial and celebration of life to follow. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Frederic’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association or Air Force Aid Society
