Lucille, as she was affectionately known to most, was born in Hartford, Connecticut to Ulric and Annonciade Vigneault in 1935. She was the youngest of four siblings and very close with them her entire life.
Lucille is survived by her three children Remi Queyrane of Rancho Cordova, CA, daughter in-law Shannon Doherty, Hélène Queyrane of Gex, France, Nicolas Queyrane of Falls Church, VA, and her one grandson Richard Queyrane of Sacramento, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Michel Queyrane of Gex, France, and her siblings, Jacqueline Vigneault Farrelly, Marcel Leo Vigneault, and Gilles A. Vigneault. Additionally, Lucille leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Lucille graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1953 where she attended with her dear cousin Louise Kleckowski. As a young professional Lucille joined the foreign service and soon was stationed overseas in Tunisia, where she met her late husband. They had three children together and lived in Canada and France for many years before returning to the United States.
Lucille worked different jobs while staying close to home as she raised her children which was her favorite position of all. She had been a typist for the local government and eventually found a passion as a tax preparer at H&R Block of Falls Church. She was also a member of the American International Women’s Club of Geneva, Switzerland and the local Crossroads Community Church in her small village in France.
Fluent in French all her life, Lucille loved being in her kitchen, cooking, and sharing recipes of French and American cuisine. She enjoyed sewing, completing crossword puzzles and was always eager to support a good cause. Lucille loved rooting for a good ballgame regardless of who won, attending local community events, parades, and gatherings with her family and friends.
Most importantly next to raising her children, Lucille always had an open door to those in need or students seeking room and board; all of whom became lifelong friends.
A devoted Catholic who always trusted in God, Lucille was a parishioner of St James Catholic Church, Falls Church.
