

Gloria was born in New York, New York to Abraham and Blanche Wasserman on January 20, 1932, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She married Marvin Cetron on June 29, 1958. She was a graduate of Syracuse University.
Gloria was a career kindergarten teacher, working until her retirement for Fairfax County Public Schools. She was an avid reader, a member of several book clubs, and a football fanatic. She was a long-time member of Beth El Hebrew Congregation. She and her husband, Marvin, traveled most of the world during the course of her life. She was a lifelong learner, always curious to know more about the world around her.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Marvin Cetron; her son Adam, his wife, Kimberley, and her grandson Gabriel; her son Edward, his wife Kathy, and her grandson Justin; her sister Joan Silverman and brother-in-law, Gil Silverman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the discretionary fund of Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria, Virginia or the Inova Health Foundation’s Emergency Preparedness Fund. Condolence cards for Marvin Cetron may be sent to him at 3717 Acosta Road, Fairfax, VA, 22031.
A private burial will take place on April 14, 2020 at King David Memorial Gardens with Rabbi David Spinrad officiating. A memorial service will be conducted a few months later, once social distancing measures related to the Covid-19 pandemic have been eased.
