Gloria J. Van Pelt

Gloria Jean VanPelt, age 76, of Culpeper, VA, passed away at Culpeper Regional Hospital Friday, June 29, 2012. Gloria was born June 3, 1936, in Washington, D.C. to Samuel Valentine Down and Gertrude Parker Cottrill Down; she worked as an accountant and enjoyed needlepoint.

Surviving Gloria is her husband of 57 years, Robert E. VanPelt, Jr. of Culpeper, VA, daughter, Dotti VanPelt of Chesapeake, VA, sons; Mark VanPelt and his wife Brenda of Manassas, VA and Robert VanPelt and his wife Teresa of Sumerduck, VA, brother, J.V. Down of Gordonsville, VA, grandchildren; Suzanne Garcia and her husband Blair, Mark VanPelt, Jr., Brittany Fultz and her husband Mike, Joel VanPelt and Kevin Lorenz, two great-grandchildren; Ayden and Connor Garcia.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA with a time of visitation Friday evening, July 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, VA.
