Hazel A. Spradlin

Passed away on March 28, 2013 at the age of 94 with her children by her side in Haymarket, VA. She was born and raised in Vinton, VA and was the remaining survivor of 18 brothers and sisters. Living in Falls Church, VA, she was the dear wife for 50 years to Willie A. Spradlin, Sr., who passed away in 1985. After a life-long commitment to God and her children, she leaves behind two sons, Willie (Margot) and Ray (Linda); and three daughters, Sharon (Steve), Pam (Mike) and Marie (Rick). She was loved and cherished by her 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. For the many family and friends that loved her, a visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA on March 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 1 at Noon at Alive Gathering Ministries, 6820-A Commercial Dr., Springfield, VA 22151. Interment to follow in National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA 22042. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Hazel's name to Capital Caring, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza, Suite 200 Manassas, VA 20109.
