Loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and loyal sister and friend. Hazel touched the lives of all she met, with her gentle nature and loving heart. She leaves behind 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Hazel passed away peacefully at her home in Vienna, Virginia, on March 27, 2014. She was born on February 24, 1924 in Fleming, Kentucky, to Rosa and Robert White and graduated with honors from the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, KY, in 1942. She was a founding member of the Deaf Ministry at Fairfax Church of Christ and was a source of constant faith, good cheer and inspiration to all who knew her.
There will be a memorial service at the Fairfax Church of Christ, 3901 Rugby Road, Chantilly, VA on Wednesday, April 2, at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3900 Jermantown Road, Suite 460, Fairfax, VA 22030-4900.
