Obituary of Helen Dye Mock
Helen Ione Dye Mock Helen was born in the small country town of Palestine, West Virginia. The daughter of Charles Otmer and Clara Grace Dye. Her father was a schoolteacher and farmer, her mother also taught school before marriage. Helen was the seventh child of a family of ten. She had eight brothers and one sister. She graduated from Elizabeth High School in May, 1954 where she was a member of the National Honor Society and was secretary of her senior class. She attended Charleston School of Commerce in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She worked as a bellhop in a local fast food business and also worked in a local hospital cafeteria in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She also worked at Yonkers Sewing Manufacturing Factory, and as a secretary for an attorney until se accepted employment with the federal government. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she was married to Charles Mock on April 17th, 1960. They had three lovely children; Curtis Nolan (Curt), Charles Wallace (Wally), and Cindy Grace. She became a member of Columbia Baptist Church, where she serves as a worker in their nursery
