

Inna Volyanskaya, a beloved family member and an inspiration in the world of figure skating, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Washington, DC. Born on July 5, 1965, in the Soviet Union, Inna distinguished herself not only as an exceptional athlete but also as a passionate coach and mentor to the next generation of skaters.
Inna's career began as a pair skater with the Soviet Union National Team, where she showcased her talent by achieving remarkable successes, including two first-place finishes in the prestigious Soviet Union Cup. Her dedication to the sport was evident as she earned numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals in various international competitions, making her a standout competitor on the ice.
Following her competitive career, Inna embraced the role of a performer, securing a leading position in Tatiana Tarasova’s acclaimed ice theater, Russian All-Stars. She traveled the world, captivating audiences with her grace and elegance. Additionally, Inna brought beloved characters to life in Disney on Ice, portraying Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella in Cinderella, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
In 2002, Inna transitioned into coaching, where she poured her heart into mentoring skaters from beginner to senior levels. Always happy and smiling, she was determined and fearless, embodying elegance and grace in every aspect of her life. Her gentle and warm voice resonated with those she coached, and she took great pride in her work, striving for perfection while nurturing a love for the sport among her students.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeremy Brent Wilson; beloved daughter, Masha Spiridonova; stepson, Keagan Eduardo Wilson; father, Vitaly Volyansky; mother, Larisa Volyanskaya; sister, Olga Raskatov; brother-in-law, Artem Raskatov; niece, Angelina Stapelmann; nephew-in-law, Niclas Stapelmann; and nephew, Alan Raskatov.
As we celebrate her life, we remember a woman who embodied grace, determination, and an unwavering dedication to skating. She left an indelible mark on the world and in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched through her performances and coaching, leaving a lasting legacy in the skating community and beyond.
A visitation for Inna will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
