She is preceded in death by husband, James D. Nealon and former husband, Mack "Jack" Crippen. She is survived by her daughter Martena Crippen and her son Mack "Lock" Crippen.
A celebration of life visitation for Irene will be held from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201 with the celebration of life funeral service beginning at 12:30. A reception will follow the internment from 2pm until 5pm at Columbia Gardens Cemetery.
