Irene passed away on March 11, 2022. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia on December 4th 1921. As a child her family moved to Kennedy Street NW, Washington DC and lived there until she married George V. Graham Sr. were they both moved back to Virginia.
During WWII she was a bank teller and telephone operator while George served in the US Army, soon after her children were born she became a stay at home mom.
Irene enjoyed crafts and loved to attend her children’s activities. She was the greatest mom, very supportive and helpful to her two children, and eventually a terrific grandma to her four grandchildren.
In her later years, she would constantly ask about her grandchildren and her nine great grandchildren.
Irene lived a long life and I am sure she would say a happy one, even though she did have some sadness in her life. She was preceded in death by her son and later her husband. We will miss you Irene.
