Dear Mark, 

Twelve years have passed since I left Crestwood.  Thank you for the gifts of time and love you and Irene gave to my Crestwood music and theater (CAST) students.  

I know you miss Irene.  Love to you.

Irene was a wonderful friend and volunteer. We worked together for 16 years. I loved having Irene come into my classroom. She loved doing math with the students. The students loved reading with Irene. Irene did so much for the students at Crestwood and for me. She always got us any school supply that we needed. She made the students reading bags, recorder PJs, cupcakes, and year end memory books. Irene loved participating in morning meeting and helping the kids do science activities. Irene did so so many things for the kids and myself inside and outside of Crestwood that I can't mention them all. She will be missed dearly. I know she will be watching over all of us. I am thankful for all the wonderful memories I have of our time together. Irene won't be forgotten.

Irene, was a fun, kind, determined, bright  and rascally sister.  I loved being able to be a rascal with her growing up.  Her nickname was Wee Woo. 
It was wonderful to witness her becoming an engineer. She had a passion for math and science.

I loved hearing how she worked with the children at Crestwood . That involvement meant so much to her. Watching her work on albums and photos for them…
I know she loved her church and friends with that same spirit. They got her through some very tough times. 
The children in my class loved calling to sing to her.  We would improvise and add “Wee Woo” into the song. 
I miss our afternoon check-ins, but I still talk to her. 
I am sending love and light to all who love her.  Big hugs and love to all family. We will continue to feel that love and light from her.

I am saddened to learn of Irene’s passing . I have many good memories of my aunt from my childhood days.  She had such a sweetness about her and also a mischievous side.  I remember her pride in her work as an engineer and her love for her children.  I am sending love and strength to all who cared for Irene. Dona Nobis Pachem.

My dear friend Irene was a quiet and mighty servant for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.   I was blessed to get to know her and to see first hand how she lived out her earthly life.  Matthew 25:21 is the way Jesus most certainly welcomed her home.

21 “His master told him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant! Since you’ve been trustworthy with a small amount, I’ll put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s joy!’

Dear Mark and Family,

I was surprised and saddened by Irene's passing.  She was a genuine Christian, living her faith, and always caring for others.  

You are surely going through painful  and overwhelming times.  Please call or email me if there is something I can do.   In the meantime, please know that I am praying for each of you.

For my dear, sweet Irene. The pain of losing you cuts deep. My profound grief the ultimate price of loving you.

Caring and loving, Irene was an amazing Christian, who was a great role model of how to keep going forward through the many medical obstacles she faced.  She was a hands-on doer for the LORD: a pray-er and card sender for FBCSp Prayer Team;  and she and Mark went beyond the normal school volunteer role at Crestwood ES, to become an additional family to children who needed more help.  I will miss her smile, twinkling eyes, and laughter. We had great talks.  It's hard for me to accept that she's passed, but I'm  so blessed to have known her.

Irene was  a  woman who longed,for  health, sought  it without success.  We will miss you, friend.   Please, God, peace and freedom from pain  for Irene.

We are so sorry to hear about Irene.  She was such a beautiful soul, and was an inspiration to so many.  Her love for Jesus Christ shined brightly in everything she did, which can be attested to by the many people she touched.  We are going to miss her dearly.  May she rest peacefully, and may God bring peace and comfort to you.
