I am so sorry for the loss of Irv. I will always remember his kindness, his humor and his generosity to the wild bunch that ran through the Hurwitz home in the 70s...He and Helaine were almost like surrogate parents to many of us. love and peace to his family and friends.

Many of my fondest memories of the last ten years in Florida include Irv, who was an integral part of "my special group of friends".  We partied ofen, especially  on Halloweens and birthdays.  Thank you, Helaine, for taking so many pictures and now I can look at Irv's face whenever I think of him, which will be often.

I, too, worked with Irv at HOC. He was part of a great gang up in Development--smart and funny.  I hadn't seen him in years, but it's still a sad thought that he's not with us in this world anymore. He was also the handsomest man there! AND he knew how to dance.  How could you not love him? Rest in peace, Irv, and condolences to those who knew him much better and must miss him so much more.

I worked with Irv at HOC during the 90s.  He was a sweetie and a gentleman and always kind to everyone.  I viewed him as the father of all the shamrocks he cultivated and then gave away and it was always fun to talk about his career as a movie star.  Also, Irv told me one should never put anything in one's pockets because doing that would make the garment lose its shape. And of course he always talked about his family with great love. It was a pleasure knowing him.

We  meet Irv  here in Florida in our retirement years.  He became a very good friend, loviing and caring. He totally enjoyed being in the company of his friends. He even enjoyed seeing OUR grandkids when they came to visit. He was definitely a warm, people loviing guy. He is missed.

It was my pleasure to have known Irv for the past 10 years. Irv will be remembered by me as a true gentleman with a loving manner & above all, a good friend.He will surely be missed by all knew & loved him, as I did.

I had the honor of working with Irv and Helaine for many years at The Children's Inn at NIH.  Irv would always come in smiling and making jokes first thing in the morning. I will cherish the many memories of him and Wally having their morning coffee, catching up on the daily news, sharing family stories and then going about their daily routine of restocking linens and supplies for The Inn families. May he rest in peace. My love and prayers go out to Helaine and their lovely family.

Irv will always be a part of The Children's Inn volunteer family. We will sorely miss his great smile, wit and charm. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Irv always brightened my day (and all the staff) when he arrived at The Children's Inn for his volunteer work.  He loved The Inn and we dearly love him. He will be remembered with many smiles.
