

Irving is survived by daughter Carol (Steve) Poland, son Mark Warshaw, step-daughter Carole (Barry) Forman, step-son Ronald (Dena) Brenner, step-son Jeffrey (Phyllis) Brenner, grandchildren Corey (Shavit) Poland, Justin Poland, Jill (Scott) Seidel, David (Kathy) Forman, Jamie (Judith) Brenner, Brett (Lindsay) Brenner, Matt (Emily) Brenner, Ryan (Alejandra) Brenner, and great-grandchildren Ari, Talia, Sam, Alex, Ella, Max, Sadie, Gabriella, Noah, Alexandra, Dylan, Maya, Rachel, Madeline, Juliana, and Sammy.
Born on April 15, 1921 in New York City, Irving served in the United States Army in World War II, and subsequently moved to Washington, DC. An entrepreneur businessman, he owned a deli, liquor store, coffee shop, breakfast carry-out restaurant, and gift shop.
Irving married Cecilia Brenner in 1969. Together, they enjoyed homes in Gaithersburg and Leisure World (Silver Spring) in Maryland, Bethany Beach, Delaware, and Delray Beach, Florida. He moved back to the DC area to be closer to family a decade ago.
Interment was held at 10am on Monday, August 1st, at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Virginia
