

He was preceded in death by his father, J. Addison, mother Mildred and brother Elliott Addison.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jane, daughter Lyn and Karl Hellmann of Woodbridge VA, son Charlie and Margaret Harvey of Greenville, NC and daughter Beth and Drew Ward of Greenville, NC. Also survived by grandsons Drew Hellmann and wife Tracy Clausen, Brad Hellmann, Addison and Lauren Harvey, Warren and Christina Harvey, Elliott Ward, Collin Ward, and great-grandson Logan Harvey.
Born May 26, 1933 in Ft. Monroe , VA, Warren attended Arlington County Schools and graduated from W & L High School in 1952. He attended the University of Alabama and enjoyed following Crimson Tide football as a devout fan…Roll Tide! He was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He served in the United States Army as a cryptographer. Throughout his life he was an avid Redskins fan and season ticket holder for decades. He loved cheering for the Washington Senators and didn’t miss a game when the Nationals came to town.
Warren retired from Moore Business Forms in 1993. He loved watching and being a part of his children’s sporting activities and carried this passion into the lives of his grandsons.
Warren had a genuine heart for serving others. As a member of the McLean community he served on the Board of Directors at Tuckahoe Recreation Club and volunteered for McLean High School athletics in the concession stand, as a member of the football chain gang and as the scorekeeper for men’s and women’s basketball. In 2011 he was a proud inductee to the McLean High School Athletic Hall of Fame recognizing his 30+ years of service. Warren’s volunteer services also included, The McLean Community Center, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum and the Kiwanis Club.
The family will receive friends at the National Funeral Home in Falls Church on Lee Highway Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at National Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Fairfax Memorial Park Cemetery (Section 2) on Braddock Road in Fairfax, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to a charity of your choice.
