I loved him allllllllll my life and Bamas a great college to go to.But it never means there's no more roll tide pride in the world.  You can't miss him since he lives in our hearts. Roll tide!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Warren.  I remember how much our parents enjoyed Warren and Jane and how much they laughed together.

Very sorry to hear the news about J Warren passing, and also sorry we weren't able to make the funeral as we were out of town on vacation. I really can't say enough good things about him. My father (Wayne Elliott) is his first cousin, and they both had tickets in close proximity near the old Budweiser end zone at RFK stadium. We'd try and chat either before the games or at half-time. As a sports obsessed child, I always appreciated his willingness to engage me with a serious conversation on potential Redskins playoff scenarios or Gary Clark's halftime statistics. In addition to reconnecting at family events, I would randomly bump into J Warren at other random events such as plays at the McLean Community Center, field trips to the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum, and high school basketball playoff games (where he'd provide me with South Lakes HS boxscore details). Then, when we moved into our current residence in Reston, Virginia -- it took me a few months to learn that my next door neighbor's (Andy Clough) father was great friends with J Warren, Jane, and family. Most recently I saw J Warren and Jane at my uncle's funeral this past March. It was a bitter, cold, and windy day (the only real snowy day this past Winter in the area) and J Warren and my dad were walking to the grave site when the wind whipped the heavy outdoor turf walking mat into the air which nearly knocked them over and hit J Warren directly in the nose. Not surprisingly, he shook off the cut to the nose and sauntered up to the casket to join the service. Tough man, genuine person, and a class act all around. My most sincere condolences go out to Jane, his children, grandchildren, and GGC. I hope to stay in touch and see you soon.

So sorry to hear of Warren's passing. He was a great friend to my parents and my uncles since childhood. I remember stopping by the print shop on my bike to see Warren and Uncle Bill. I was tickled that they'd stop work a moment to chat with a lad. So many fond memories--Warren and Jane coming over to play cards with my folks, an occasional ride in the VW bug, and Warren coming over when my mother died, just to grieve with us for a little while.

I was so lucky to have been a neighbor of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey! Both always have kind words and smiles-sometimes stories, too. Our boys used to ride their Big Wheels on the sidewalk and 1 of the boundaries was "Mr. Harvey's House". Years later he laughed and told of their exploits as they raced down his driveway... Ryan is out-of-town and can't be with us for visitation, but he sends his love...

I am saddened to hear of Warren's passing. I shared many enjoyable times with him when we volunteered at the Udvar-Hazy Center. He was always there with his warm smile and was always a most pleasant person to be around. As my colleague, Bob Greene said, he will indeed be greatly missed.

A wonderful friend.  We both volunteered at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Center specifically the Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles.  I worked in the afternoon and he worked in the morning.  I could always depend on his warm greeting.  Warren was a true gentleman and Friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Dear Jane and family, Your Warren was loved by everyone--what was not to love!  The McLean Community was enriched by his kind, cheerful presence and his and Jane's numerous contributions over more years than we can count. Warren was a well loved , decent and respected man. As a coach, a husband,a dad and a professional, they don't make them any better. Warren will be greatly missed. His life long partner, Jane, should know that those of us who worked with her, share her grief. Jane, we love you.
