Jagdish Bhatia, 75, passed away on May 3, 2021 after a relentless battle against prostate cancer. He spent the last several years living with his family in Virginia.
Jagdish spent his childhood and early adulthood years in Mumbai, India. He met his wife, Drupati, at Jai Hind College where they both were studying. They later immigrated to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands where they worked in sales and met some of their dearest friends. They later lived in Los Angeles, CA and then Northern Virginia to be close to their son.
Jagdish enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing games and chess, and enjoying his favorite Indian delicacies. He will be remembered for his good nature and endearing charm. Jagdish was an unforgettable friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Jagdish is survived by his daughter Sushma Badlaney (Sumeet) and son Puneet Bhatia (Anu). He is the cherished grandfather to Grandson Shlok Badlaney, Grandson Rohan Bhatia, and Granddaughter Riya Bhatia. He is the dear brother of Savitri Gajiria.
A service will be held on May 9 in Falls Church, VA. Live stream information will be on this page for those wishing to join virtually.
