James L. Fitzgerald

He was born on September 5, 1932 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Thomas B. and S. Maude (Hartselle) FitzGerald.

Jimmy was part owner of Arlington Iron Works, Inc. and Rent-A-Crane, Inc.

He is survived by his wife Ellen M. FitzGerald of Virginia Beach, VA, three children: Dawn Marie Griggs Clayton and husband Jim of Williamsburg, VA, William "Bill" L. FitzGerald and wife Rebecca of Woodbridge, VA and Lawrence "Larry" J. FitzGerald and wife Shonnette of Ashburn, VA; 10 grandchildren: Carrie Lynne, Carter, Hunter, Heather, Stephen, Samantha, Shawna, Thomas, Alexis and Lilly. Also surviving are 3 great grandchildren: Tanner, Adaven and Houston.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church, 8899 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA with Rev. David Forrest officiating. Private interment will be held at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
