James Elwood Heath

McLean, VA — James E. Heath, 82, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A lifetime resident of McLean, Jimmy as he was known to friends and family, leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Joan Heath; his sons James (Dan) Heath and his wife Sherry; John (David) Heath and his companion Margaret; three grandchildren; his sister Barbara Shenton; his brother Marvin (Buddy) Heath, other family members and friends. After serving 34 years and retiring from Fairfax County Schools, Jimmy had the opportunity to begin a new family venture and they created Amusement Rentals by J&J and were a staple at McLean Day for 25 years which culminating in 2014 with a photo on the cover of the McLean Connection. He not only took pride in the company, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. Over the years, his passion for helping others was fulfilled both through the business and personally. Funeral services with private burial will be held Saturday December 8, 2018. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in January 2019.
