John P. Walsh

On April 13, 2015, in Falls Church VA. Dear husband to Mary who predeceased him in 2006, John is survived by his sister, Margaret Byrne of Yorktown Heights N.Y. and his nephews Kenneth and James Byrne and their families, also of New York. His sister Anne and brothers Albert, Leo and Hugh all predeceased him. John was a member of the 82 Division during WW II and served in the European theatre with the 517th Airborne Signal Company. Born in Brooklyn, New York, John lived for many years in Pittsburgh PA and in Falls Church. He served as a Special Agent – Investigator, Supervisory Agent, and Chief of the Passenger Service, Bureau of Operations for the U.S. Interstate Commerce Commission. John was a man of exceptional wit and good humor who was loved by many and will be missed especially by his dear friends at Skyline House and Clyde’s of Mark Center.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Falls Church, at 10 AM.
