It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kalyani Tankala, who departed peacefully on June 11, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on October 1, 1934, in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India, Kalyani was the daughter of Dr. Ramabrahmam Koka and Manorama Koka. She was the second of four siblings and shared a lifelong bond with her sisters, Chiranjeevi, Veera, and Beena, all of whom survive her.
Kalyani inspired all who knew her through her simplicity, purity of thought, and the goodness of her heart. She faced life with unwavering positivity, rarely complained, and carried herself with remarkable resilience and feisty energy. Her kindness, strength, and cheerful spirit touched many lives and will be remembered with love and gratitude.
She was a creative soul with a deep passion for arts and crafts. One of her favorite hobbies was quilting, and she created beautiful quilts with extraordinary patience, care, and attention to detail. She was also known for her wit and wonderful sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to family and friends throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kumara Gupta, and survived by her sons, Ashoka, Harsha, Kanishka and their families. While we will miss her dearly and forever cherish her memory, we are grateful for the many years we were blessed to have her with us and take comfort in the lasting impact she had on our lives.
