Cruz, I cannot even post here what I would like to remember with you, because it was when we were having a good time at Caring Hands Animal Hospital, being 20 and 30 something year olds while still being professionals by day. Slash night. Slash 7 days a week :-) You were a fool.  You did not see how many people LOVED you.  But we'll see you again. Hate to break it to you, but if God does exist, you are hanging with him now, just waiting for the rest of us and the party to start. Eating crow.  And if he does not exist, my life was better because we spent some of our life blessed with you in it.  You jerk. Love you.

Dr. de la Cruz, I still miss you. I hope you found the peace you were seeking. The world's a lesser place without you, though.

Dr de la Cruz was just an amazing human.  The first time I watched him with my new, terrified cat, I knew what an amazing vet he was.  he had a way of looking at animals that just gave me every confidence in him.  A truly wonderful man.

The Feline Foundation of Greater Washington is saddened to hear of Dr. de la Cruz's passing. We are grateful for the tender care he gave our kitties and adoptees at Atlas Vet and Caring Hands, and send our warmest purrs to his family, friends and coworkers

It's amazing how someone can touch your life in a short amount of time. 

We met Dr. de la Cruz just a half dozen times with our bulldog Angus. But I knew Dr. de la Cruz's name even when we don't remember my own human doctors; and that would have been true after the first visit. Funny, personable, full of life and above all, clearly loving of humans and animals alike. He was just one of those people who brought a smile to your face.

Words cannot express how sorry we were to hear about his untimely passing. If there is a silver lining, I will take this opportunity to remind others of the impact that they make, the way I wish I had with our friendly neighborhood vet.

You will be missed Dr. de la Cruz and our deepest condolences to those who truly new him.

Keith was a great colleague and I was shocked to learn of his passing. I admired his well spoken and easy manner and I appreciated his leadership in our veterinary organizations.

Keith is, and will always be, terribly missed by the people and animals whose lives he touched, and there are many. My deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who loved him. He was truly one of a kind, and he gave so much to so many. Rest in peace, kind and gentle Keith.
