

Linda Louise Davis, 75, of Centreville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4th, at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital with her family by her side. Linda was born on January 23rd, 1942, in Alexandria, Virginia. The daughter of Harold Stanley and Emma Louise Alward.
Linda, a consummate caregiver, dedicated her life to the needs of others. Following in her mothers footsteps, Linda had an early nursing career at various hospitals in Virginia and Maryland. After settling down in Fairfax County, Linda worked for Fairfax County Public Schools as a bus aid, then a bus driver for special needs children, for 45 years. Additionally, Linda worked evenings at Sunrise Senior Living Center in Vienna for 10 years.
Linda had many interest’s some of which were the beach, dogs, crocheting, and watching all her grandchildren in their varied sports. Linda was one of their biggest fans.
Linda is survived by her husband, Donald Bryant Davis after a wonderful 50 years of marriage, four children, Gale (Douglas) Ott of South Riding, Trina (Timothy) Mullins of Centreville, Celina (Gabriel) Vargas of Lansdowne, Christopher Alward of Spotsylvania, one brother, Harold Alward Jr., and 11 grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her son Donald Bryant Davis Jr.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9th at 1:00 PM at National Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM at National Memorial Park.
