Lois Ann Klarecki , age 67, of Frederick MD passed away early Tuesday morning. At 4:48 am on January 19th, 2021 under the care of Georgetown University Hospital. After many months of suffering from chronic illness, Lois surcam to liver and heart failure. Unable to fight any longer she now is at peace alongside her late husband Michael Walter Klarecki.
Lois was born in Leadville CO. on October 15th, 1953. Daughter of Joyce S. and Lee Elmer Walker. Lois was the youngest of 4 siblings. One brother Robert, and 2 sisters Margeret and Terry Walker. They called her little red due to her vibrant red hair. As the youngest, her siblings consider her a pain in the butt as most siblings do. A story that always came up at family gatherings was the time Lois and her sister Terry were picking at a homemade lemon meringue pie her mother baked. They could not wait to eat it, she used to love it so much that she took a finger into the pie not thinking anyone would notice. Her father of course did and demanded to know which of the four did it. She would not admit she was the one, consequently her father made all four eat the pit with mustard and ketchup. From that day forward Lois could never look at a lemon meringue pie the same. Another story her sister Margeret remembers vividly was the time their cousin David came to visit. Lois admired his hair so much she decided to lop off her own locks. When asked why, she stated she wanted to be like David.
Lois graduated from Buena vista high school in 1972 when she decided to use her talents for cutting hair and go to cosmetology school. Soon after that she met her now late husband Michael Klarecki at a local bar that he was a bartender at. Married on December 29, 1976, they lived in Buena vista CO where she owned her own salon. They had two kids Natalie Sena born 02/17/1978 and Dasha Marie born 04/13/1980.
Throughout her life she lived in many areas with vast careers. While living in MO Lois embarked on real estate, restaurant ownership, to ER tech and studying psychology. In OH she went into corporate America and for years was in banking as a project manager. Her and her husband enjoyed painting, stained glass, crafts, camping, travel and family time with their kids and grandkids. After her husband passed away on Sept 19th, 2007, Lois yet again changed her career path as well as her location. Lois moved to Maryland to be with her daughter Dasha. There she continued exploring what life had to offer by working some retail jobs and starting up a non for profit art exhibit called Art for Heart. Where she took her art and love for painting and sold her work. Profit from the art exhibits went to other organizations like Heartly House and others. She also dabbled in small business for divorce mediation.
In 2011 Lois met her long time partner Anthony Lenet online playing a casino game Big Fish, where they instantly connected. In 2012 Anthony moved in with Lois where they spent the remainder of her life together. Lois and Tony enjoyed these years traveling, living the RV life, and enjoying the grand kids, family, and friends around them.
